The Coma part 1

The half-dead man was lying on the stretcher. With the help of constables and people around, he was brought down the building. People  had crammed the place, every inch of the stairs was taken up by the neighbours. Even at midnight it seemed that a night out was planned by all at the same time. Lying helplessly on the stretcher, he moved his hands over his body.  He knew something was wrong since he never felt anything like that. The pain was getting unbearable with every passing moment. With great strength and  great struggle,  he was finally able to move his right hand over his belly. What followed eventually gave him a shock. He could feel a broken piece of the bottle was in his stomach.

His white shirt was stained in blood by now. Which gave an impression that the shirt was never white at all. Blood as oozing, he had no idea what he should do. Amidst everything, he was laid near the ambulance, which has reached by then.

“Kya abhi bhi saans chal rahi hai”? Asked the doctor.

“Haan, Saab Chal to Rahi thi abhi ka pata nahi!” said the constable.

“Aap unhe wahan par Lita dijye” the doctor put his hand near his neck  and then held his hands and tried to feel his pulse.

“The pulse is very low, but his life is not guaranteed”.

“Kadam se kehna, hum inhe LNJP le kar ja rahe hain.”

This was the last words that the doctor made with the constable and made his way out of the crime scene.

With the siren switched on his ambulance, the doctor took off to the hospital.

The man was unconscious by now.  He could hardly tell what was real and what was the dream. All he could think was him falling down a well with no such ending. After some time he felt no pain, his body was getting numb. He did not know where he was now. He was passing into a different world. Where no one would like to venture.

Somewhere between the life and death.

Suddenly his eyes opened. He could trace a human silhouette with his half closed eyes. He could hear her voice which was very sweet.

“Wake up, Wake up.” She called.

He was holding is his head. And the first word that came out his mouth was “Am I alive or dead?”

“You are neither alive nor you are dead, you are in midway but if you don’t wake up now I am pretty sure that you will be in a moment or two.”

Hearing this, he opened his eyes in a jiffy. He was in some strange place where there was no color. Everything was black or white. He looked at his stomach, it seemed fine to him. He could see a mark on his belly.

“Look, I am alright, man the doctor was good, look how neatly he stitched me up.”
Before he could turn up the woman was gone and all he could hear was a faint voice. Which came from somewhere, but it was too faint to decide the direction."I am stuck in this place", for how long even he didn't know.

Suddenly.

The sweet voice turned into a harsh one.

“He is coming to get you.”

“Run, run, save your life and run as fast as you can.”

“What’s happening, who is coming to get me?”

“You ask too many questions. Just run and save your life”

“Life, you do not make any sense to me. I have done nothing wrong to anyone. Then why should I run and I don’t see anyone chasing me?”

“Do you trust me?”

“Trust, Are you serious? I hardly know who you are.”

“ If you want to live then follow my lead, I don't think you would like to perish here.”

“ No, I don’t what should I do”

“Just keep on running and don’t turn back, he is coming to get you”

He then ran as hard he could. He could see many thoughts coming and going in his head. What if he was dead, well he trusted the woman.

Somewhere his heartfelt  he somehow knew her. Everything started to turn black. He increased his pace. He once again fell into a trench and was floating in space.
