The Summer

When we are together and we look at the sky,

It's blue and bright in the daylight,

It's my hand in yours, and yours in mine

 But, somewhere deep inside

We know, this summer won't last forever.

Like in autumn,

When the leaves turn brown and dry,

A sweeping wind brings them to the ground,

Just, like those leaves falling on the ground,

We know, this summer won't last forever.

When you look at me, with a glance,

My eyes meet yours', and promises are made,

We hold our hands on others' chest,

And, move apart with shallow pace

We know, this summer won't last forever.

Like in Winter,

When the trees covered in snow,

Lakes are frozen and cold winds blow,

Just, like those melting ice calling spring's time,

We know, this summer won't last forever.

When we walk in the park, over the lake at night,

The moon shining upon us, its bright light,

Then the clouds move with a gushing wind,

I look at you, you look at me, But somehow,

We know, this summer won't last forever.

Like in rain,

When the clouds cry, pouring rains from high,

When the river overflows, bustling with life,

Just, like the small streams merging moreover,

We know, this summer won't last forever.

Just, when you move, beyond my gaze,

A silhouette appears, but not so far,

A hand risen in dismay, a lip parted but nothing to say,

I know things may become arduous for a while,

But, I will savor this summer for the rest of my life.
